Dr. Ngo Huy Liem
With rich experience in many countries like Germany, Philippines, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Dr. Ngo Huy Liem can contribute a lot to Vietnam's development. With international experience, he has been very active in development and poverty reduction work. Dr. Liem specializes in Macro-Policy analysis; Regional development; Urban, rural development and poverty alleviation; International migration/reintegration; Development financing (formal and informal credit, guarantee mechanism); Micro and small enterprise development; Project planning, monitoring and evaluation; Strategic management of non-profit non-governmental organizations (NGO); Human resources development. Dr. Liem also served as an experienced professor at the Graduate School of Development Studies, University of Geneva, Asian Institute of Management (Philippines), Asian Institute of Technology (Vietnam).
Vu Xuan Dao, MA.
Mrs Vu Xuan Dao held the position of Director at the Center for Development and Integration from 2005 to 2007. She strongly led the Center from her rich experience in consultancy work for many Ministries, international organizations and research institutes. Mrs. Dao graduated from Economic college, Prague, Czechoslovakia as a postgraduate after she gained two Bachelor degrees from the National Economics University and College of ceramic and Porcelain, Czechoslovakia. Her background ranges from finance to development. Mrs. Dao has in depth knowledge and competence in capacity building for the local governments in socio-economic planning and poverty reduction. Mrs. Dao also served as senior researcher at the Institute of Finance and specialized in market, price and commodity issues.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Tong
From 2007 to 2009, Dr. Tong held the position of Director of CDI. She is also in charge of CDI’s private sector development, labor, trade and corporate social responsibility. Dr. Nguyen Thi Tong has 30-year experience in the industry sector, specializing in the leather and footwear industry. She obtained both bachelor and PhD in science in the Kiev Technological Institute of Light Industry, Ucraina. Dr. Tong is an experienced trainer on technology, production, competitiveness, business management including corporate social responsibility. Dr. Nguyen Thi Tong had hold various positions in the industry sector and currently been Vice-Chairperson of Leather and Footwear Association (LEFASO Vietnam)
Dr. Doan Hong Quang
Dr. Doan Hong Quang is a competent economic researcher. With his tertiary education, obtained in different countries, such as Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Dresden University of Technology, Germany; Master of Economics of Development and Ph.D. in Economics from Australian National University, Dr. Doan can bring multi-faceted insights into research of economic development issues in Vietnam. His specialized research fields include Trade Liberalization and Economic Growth; Institutions and Economic Performance; Economic Reform in Transitional economies; Relationship between unionization and trade liberalization; Environmental Impact of Economic Policies and other issues related to Sustainable Development. Dr. Doan was granted various awards for his excellent achievement in academic work, such as the Helen Hughes Prize for Academic Excellence in 1994 and 1995; "Chris Higgins Prize" by Access Economics Pty. Ltd. in 1995 for his case study: "Determinants of the money demand in Australia". He is also a competent trainer with his lecturing experience for the courses of Trade Policy, Economic Model and Introductory Econometrics, Microeconomic Theory A, and Mathematical Techniques in Economics at the National Centre for Development Studies (NCDS) of the prestigious Australian National University, Australia.
Hoang Hanh Ly, MA.
Ms. Hoang Hanh Ly gained a Master Degree in Education Management at University of Melbourne in 2003 after a Postgraduate Diploma in Executive Management Development at National University of Singapore. Ms. Hoang gained much experience from projects implementation, trainings in the forms of Training of Trainers, Project Management for Rural Development Projects and Socio Economic Development Planning. She had extensive exposure through her support for the Government and Local governments in many provinces, particularly in the Central Highlands of Vietnam in the development of their annual planning and budgeting processes. Emphasis is placed on the incorporation of the governments approach to poverty reduction and growth (CPRGS 2001-2005) and Socio-economic Development Plans (SEDP2006-2010)
Ngo Thi Minh Huong, PhD.
Ngo Huong gained PhD in Human Rights and Peace Studies, Mahidol University, Thailand. T She has the following academic qualifications: Master in Philosophy: Public International Laws - Faculty of Law, University of Oslo (2010), Norway. Master in Philosophy: Human Rights - Faculty of Law, University of Oslo (2010), Norway. Master of Development Management (MDM), Asian Institute of Management, Philippines, ADB Scholar (2003). Bachelor of Economics, Finance and Banking, National Economic University, Vietnam (1999). Bachelor of Arts (Foreign Languages), National University of Vietnam, (1995).
Ngo Huong had 10 years in development work as an innovative development worker and social activist in Vietnam, gaining experiences from NGO work and donor's operation. She worked as Poverty Specialist at the Asian Development Bank in Vietnam since 2004 and Governance Advisor to NORAD/Norwegian Embassy in Vietnam. Mrs. Ngo's field of expertise is international laws, sociology of laws, good governance, transparency, human rights, other social sciences fields such as labor, migration and legal aid. She has extensive practical experiences in business development, strategic planning for local governments, participatory approach in development. She also has experiences in impact assessment, monitoring and evaluation and social audit.
