Feasibility Study for the establishment of WTO Center for Da Nang city
Center for Development and Integration is undertaking the study to support Da Nang city to establish its WTO Center, starting in July 2010. The center aims to facilitate economic integration of the city as a resource center. The new WTO center of Da Nang is planned to provide advisory to the local government on trade policies, to conduct trade and investment promotion for SMEs in the city, and to provide information on market, tax, trade and technical barriers, trade and investment and provide training workshops for business in the integration process.
Empowering Women and Sensitizing Men to say NO to domestic violence in Ninh Binh province
The overall objective of the project is to reduce and eventually eliminate domestic violence by improving social awareness and provide support in order to change mindset and behavior of both women and men on violence and gender issue, by which, reducing unfair treatment toward women and children and eventually the end of violence in both families and society. The project is supported by Luxemburg Embassy in Vietnam from 2010-2011.
Promoting women's rights to participation in socio political life and in local budgeting and planning process to enhance gender equality and grass root democracy in Ninh Binh province
The project aims to enhancing community awareness of gender equality, women's human rights and the significance of women's participation in politics and decision-making to raise the quantity and quality of women participating in politics and decision-making and to building capacity for women to participate in gender sensitive budgeting process at local levels. The project is supported by DED in Vietnam in 2010
Project: "Strengthening capacity and accountability of local authorities and community support to women and children to combat human trafficking in Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh province
As the contribution to the above Government Action Plan 2007-1011, the project “Strengthening capacity and accountability of local authorities and community support to women and children to combat human trafficking in Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh province” has been formulated and conducted by the Center for Development and Integration (CDI) and Ninh Binh Provincial Women’s Union with the grant support of the Luxembourg Embassy in Hanoi.
Fostering Women's Political Participation and Women's Freedom from Domestic Violence in 10 province in Vietnam
The project ““Fostering women’s political participation and Reduce Domestic Violence” is launched. CDI and Vietnam Lawyers Association collaborate to implement the project, with the grant from Womens' Fund of EAP. 1 year from September 2008 with total grant of USD100,000
3P Institute (Germany) in partnership with Center for Development and Integration to implement the programme on Sustainable Business Management with Corporate Social Responsibility in Vietnam

3P Institute (Institute for sustainable Management) partners with CDI under the DEG support to implement a programme on CSR oriented Sustainable Business Management. Vietnam into the globalisation and WTO emerge more with CSR and received interest from corporates. The programme organized training courses to companies on CSR related Corporate management by digital learning.

CDI participated into the APEC project on “New Corporate Procurement Strategy on Trade in Goods and Services in APEC Region, Supply-chain options with CSR perspective"

CDI participated into the APEC project link here on New Corporate Procurement Strategy on Trade in Goods and Services in APEC Region, -Supply-chain options with CSR perspective-” under the technical assistance of Institute for International Studies and Training (IIST) of Japan. The book was published in March 2008. A case study on “BITIS in Vietnam - Creating Values Through Good CSR Initiatives in Supply Chain” was written by Ngo Huong, Co-Founder, Center for Development and Integration. CDI representatives also took part in the warp up meeting and Asian Forum on CSR in September, 2007 in Hochiminh City to discuss on 13 other CSR cases under this APEC project more on here

CDI supports Ninh Binh Province in Public Administration Reform

In February - March 2007, Center for Development and Integration, upon request of the Ninh Binh province, provided support to the PAR in province within the framework of provincial PAR-master plan 2006-2010. The work focus on Capacity Needs Assessment of the local cadres and the capacity situation of the local political schools in their training capacity delivery. The capacity needs are identified on the area of management skills, leadership, planning capacity for local officials and local cadres and monitoring of local elected representatives at local levels, local Father Front Association, People's Inspectors and poverty reduction officials. The report also mentions recommendations on organisational arrangements and contents for the capacity building strategy for the local government.

CDI work in Daknong province on planning capacity building for officials under ADB Technical Assistance

CDI can move further to work in Daknong province. Following the previous experience on socio-economic development planning and capacity building at local level in Daklak in 2005, Kon Tum in 2006, Hoa Binh in 2006-2007, Ninh Binh in 2007, Soc Trang in 2006 etc. CDI undertakes the assignment under TA4679-VIE of the ADB to support Daknong province in the project “Development and Delivery of Training Courses on Socio-economic Development Planning for Dak Nong Province” . The project will be conducted for 6 months from January 2008.

CDI joins hand with National Economic University to develop the Planning Manual for the MPI-UNDP SLGP project

In 2007, CDI joins hand with National Economic University to develop the Planning Manual for the MPI-UNDP SLGP project. The project executed by Ministry of Planning and Investment aims to build the capacity for the planning officials at all levels, including public finance management and planning in its larger reform. The manual is a guide book for new knowledge and skills development in the socio-economic planning development process. It has been used as the tools which is appreciated by local officials with new planning tools and methods like results based planning, strategic planning, participatory planning for issues like gender, poverty, ethnic minority.
